Actor británico



Nació el 5 de octubre de 1919 en Workshop, Nottinghamshire.

Se inicia en 1954 con El vagabundo de las islas (Muriel Box).

Su extraordinaria interpretación del vagabundo en The Caretaker, (C. Donner, 1963) le puso entre los mejores actores de su país.

Especializado en personajes excéntricos e inquietantes como en Callejón sin salida (Roman Polanski, 1966), Viaje alucinante (Richard Fleischer, id.), Soldado azul (R. Neison, 1970), THX 1138 (George Lucas, 1971), Despertar en el infierno (T. Kotcheff, id.), La noche de Halloween (J. Carpenter, 1978), 1979... rescate en Nueva York (id., 1981 ) y Ha llegado el águila (John Sturges, 1976).

Donald Pleasence falleció el 2 de febrero de 1995 en Saint-Paul de Vence, Francia.
