Actriz estadounidense



Nació el 30 de abril de 1912 en Mill Valley, California (Estados Unidos).

Se inició en el mundo del espectáculo como artista de music-hall.

Su personaje en Damas del teatro fue muy popular, y estuvo ligada a él durante mucho tiempo.

Destacó con su aparición en Ziegfeld Girl (R.Z. Leonard, 1941), Manpower (R. Walsh, id.), Las modelos (Ch. Vidor, 1944) y Alma en suplicio (Michael Curtiz 1945).

En 1948 lanzó una serie radiofónica, Our Miss Brooks que después llevó con éxito a la televisión. Su interpretación le valió un Premio Emmy.

Una de sus últimas apariciones notables en la pantalla fue en Grease.

Especializada en papeles cómicos, trabajó en más de 70 películas y en numerosas obras de teatro en Broadway.


Eve Arden falleció el 12 de noviembre de 1990 en Beverly Hills, California.
