Diana Dors nació el 23 de octubre de 1931 en Swindon.
Fue considerada la Marilyn Monroe inglesa.
Tras ganar un premio de belleza, logró imponerse como sex-symbol del cine británico de los años cincuenta y sesenta.
Dotada con un físico exuberante que la hizo especializarse en papeles puramente decorativos.
Realizó algunos trabajos interesantes en The Weak and the Wicked (J. L. Thompson, 1956), El niño y el unicornio (C. Reed, 1955) y en Yield to the Night (Thompson 1956).
Posteriormente encarnó papeles de mujeres corpulentas: Piel jonen (Baby Love, A. Reid 1969); Deep End (J. Skolimowski, 1970); El flautista (The Pied Piper of Hamelin, J. Demy, 1972); Steaming (Joseph Losey, 1985).
Diana Dors falleció el 4 de mayo de 1984 de meningitis en Windsor, Berkshire, Inglaterra.
