Raymond Collins

Actor estadounidense



Nació el 10 de diciembre de 1889 en Sacramento, California (Estados Unidos).

Hizo su debut en los escenarios con tan sólo seis años y continuó su carrera teatral hasta llegar a formar parte del Mercury Theater, la compañía dramática de Orson Welles.

En Hollywood intervino en los dos primeros largometrajes del director y actor: Ciudadano Kane y El cuarto mandamiento.

En el primero interpretaba el personaje de "Big Jim" Gettys y en el segundo a Jack Amberson.

Actuó en una de las películas mas famosas de la posguerra, que consiguió siete Oscar: Los mejores años de nuestra vida, en la que interpreta el papel de Mr. Milton.

Su carrera cinematográfica acaba también con Welles para el que interpretó al abogado Adair en Sed de Mal.

Trabajó para la televisión en la serie Perry Mason, en el papel del teniente Tragg.


Ray Collins falleció el día 11 de julio de 1965 en Santa Monica, Los Angeles, California.
