Actor estadounidense



Nació el 30 de enero de 1911 en Philadelphia (Estados Unidos).

Su debut se produjo en 1936 en Hollywood, aunque su llegada a la fama no tuvo lugar hasta los años cincuenta.

Contratado por la Fox trabajó bajo la dirección de King (Almas en la hoguera, 1949), Joseph L. Mankiewicz (Eva el desnudo, 1950), Dassin (Noche en la ciudad), J. Tourneur (Martin el gaucho, 1952) y Howard Hawks (Me siento rejuvenecer).

Posteriormente interpretó personajes secundarios y apareció en series televisivas (Ellery Queen y Another World).

Hugh Marlowe falleció el 2 de mayo de 1982 en Nueva York.
